A very successful and happy service took place in Shropham Church, on March 30th for Mothering Sunday, attended by 25 grown-ups and 12 children.

We sang the well-known hymn’s ‘All Things Bright & Beautiful’ and ‘Loving Shepherd of Thy Sheep’ and “There’s a Friend For Little Children’.

Two girls, Florence Hills and Amelia Towell, read out prayers and about-to-be-a-mother for the third time, Daisy Thirkettle, read a lesson.


All the children came up to collect posies of primroses and scented flowers to give to their mothers and grandmothers in the pews.

We hope to hold more occasions like this with village involvement in the future. Thank you to all involved.
